Meet the eccentric members of the 2020-2021 Montana Tech Engineers Without Borders cabinet!


Laurel grew up in Montana and loves hiking, backpacking, gardening, and yoga. She is a junior in Environmental Engineering and will use her degree to help save the planet. She joined EWB because she is passionate about helping communities meet their basic needs and doing that through sustainably engineered solutions.

George is from Bremerton Washington and enjoys fishing, sailing, and other maritime activities. George is a sophomore in electrical engineering and fills his free time with club activities and research adjacent to his degree. George joined EWB because he is interested in Internationale (sic) collaboration.

Samielle grew up in Hobson, MT. She loves to spend time with family and friends. One of her favorite things to do is travel. Sami is a sophomore in civil engineering and cannot wait to see where her degree takes her!

Kayla is originally from San Jose, California and moved to Butte, Montana two years ago to pursue her degree in Geological Engineering. She is a part of many groups on campus including Resident Assistant Director for the residence halls and ASMT Senator for student government. Kayla joined EWB because she has a passion for working with people and helping different communities around the world. She is excited to be a part of the EWB team to provide to those who do not have all the luxury amenities, we are so fortunate to have here in our community.

Mackenzie is from Sun River, MT and grew up farming. She loves being outside and being around friends and family. Mackenzie is an electrical engineering major, and hopes to get a masters in agricultural engineering. Mackenzie joined EWB because she loves to travel, see new places and help others!
